Ecological Movement "Ibar" is a non-profit organization registered 1990th in Kraljevo. Spontaneously formed as a response to the pollution of the river Ibar with phenol, which has an impact on the quality of drinking water in Kraljevo citizens. After a series of consecutive breakdowns and accidents eighties of last century when the percentage of phenol can be reached several tens of times higher than MDK (maximum allowable amount) culminated in the first peaceful environmental protests in former Yugoslavia in which citizens took to the street kings seeking healthy water. It was 1986, and then a group of citizens tried to organize the organization to protect their right to healthy water and the right to life. The initial Board was able to realize 1990th , with Founding Assembly held 10th March 1990. , as one of the first ecological organization in former Yugoslavia.
